I have a spare piece of 15.6" IPS laptop display panel and I would like to make a portable display with it.Since the thickness of the IPS panel is only 2.6mm and it can get damage if it is bend accidentally, therefore I am looking a suitable material of the back panel or board which the IPS panel will be glued on top for protection.Since I will carry it around with my laptop, so the frame and back panel should be something light, thin and not so flexible (hard?) .... The size of the back panel should be around 36cm x 22cm.Aluminium? Acrylic? MDF ? how think should it be? I am not so sure....Any advise from you guys will be very much appreciated.
