My dad is one of those people who is always trying to figure out a way to get rich fast. He has "invested" in everything from stocks, real estate, crypto, etc..But regardless of the asset class, its always the same story every time. When the market starts going up, my dad will always buy into that asset and than hold it, and as the price increase he will get greedy and will purchase more of that asset. Every time won't sell it until the bubble bursts and lose a bunch of money. He lost almost 200k in the internet bubble, 500k on a big real estate bubble in the city that we live in, 100k on bitcoin, and the list goes on.
I told him to stop trying to speculate these bubbles, because he is no good at it.
