My Sister-in-law was a emergency air lift nurse who died in a helicopter crash during the polar vortex. I've made shadowboxes (like this one http://bit.ly/2WXW6dE) for her mother and husband, but her uncle (who raised her like a daughter) I was thinking I would make something else.We tend to go to his house for holidays, birthdays etc. and we always mark the occasion by taking a shot together. I would like to make something that would amount to a raise shot glass that we can cheers whenever we get together in memory of her. I looked on amazon and the closest thing i found was a cool looking octopus that would be wholly inappropriate (https://amzn.to/2S5iGxa). I don't want anything creepy like a hand or anything, but maybe something like a wooden base with a dowel rod leading up to a ring that we can put a shot glass in with a stethoscope snaking around the dowel? I have access to a nice sized wood shop with a cnc router and would like some ideas or links to any kind of similar project that you might have seen. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
