Hi r/personalfinance.

I recently posted on r/JUSTNOMIL and one user suggested I post here.

My partner and I recently bought a house together. I haven't been very well, and I was between jobs when we bought the house. Therefore, I'm not on the mortgage and not on the deed.

The user from r/JUSTNOMIL suggested it may not be good for me to be on the deed anyway because I have a crazy mother-in-law. Can anybody help me understand why?

We are currently planning on getting my name put on the deed, and/or getting married so that the house would be split 50/50.

I really appreciate your advice! Thank you.

(We're in the UK if that makes a difference)
