Just in case, I live in California, US. I recently suffered a bad kneecap dislocation, and I will be out of commission for about a month. I am 20 years old, I work minimum wage, part time at a restaurant as a host. My job has told me they can't provide alternative work I can do that I can do sitting, and sitting down as a host is not conducive. I'm already near broke, and I don't know what my options are until I recover. I heard something about applying for temporary disability, or applying for unemployment for the time being, but I'm not sure if these are viable options, or if it's not possible? What are my options?
