I want to buy an insulated water bottle around 16-24 oz. I've had this Simple Modern water bottle for a little over a year, it's dented (that's my fault though, dropped it on concrete once), the powder coating is flaking off in other spots than where the dent is, and it doesn't insulate as well as it did when I first got it. I want to get something colored green that'll last, I want to put a bunch of vinyl stickers on this thing and I'd be pretty disappointed to cover my water bottle with them and then end up needing to replace it.
I've been looking at these:
- Hydro Flask 20 oz in Kiwi.
- this Zojirushi or this one.
- Klean Kanteen though I'm not really sure if sea crest counts as green. I don't like the fresh pine.
I want the part where I drink from to be covered when I'm not drinking. I have not considered any narrow mouth bottles because of that, and narrow mouths are harder to clean. If I get the Hydro Flask or Klean Kanteen, I plan on replacing the lid. I want a lid like the capcap+, this takeya lid, or this simple modern lid, that converts the wide opening to something more narrow while still allowing the easy cleaning and easy ice inserting that wide mouths offer. I also want it to be attached to the lid so I can't lose it. I haven't been able to find anything like this for the Klean Kanteen, though some people say you can get the capcap+ to work with it. I've thought about this lid for use with narrow mouth bottles but I'm afraid of losing the top. The Zojirushi already fits this requirement but I worry about leaks with it. I want to be able to toss it in a backpack and lay it flat without worrying. I know the Zojirushi has a lock to prevent it from opening but does it leak when laid sideways?
I'm open to other brands as well, just trying to find anything that'll last and have a lid like the examples I posted. Thank you for reading all of this!
