We have some gift cards at Living Spaces and were looking to buy a new sectional couch. Are there any higher quality pieces that we should be on the lookout for? I understand we would likely upgrade our couch sometime around 5-10 years, but we would like to get a piece that would last up to that long.
On another note, are the extended warranties ever worth it? Living spaces sells a 5 year care free plan provided by Uniters. It covers defects, stains, etc while it costs 15% of the furniture we are protecting. We do have a dog and while he has never caused a mess, we were told any pet stains are covered. We would get the money back at the end of the 5 years if we don't use the warranty in the form of store credit, which I understand is another ploy to get us to buy more expensive furniture.
