When my bf’s friends invite us out, I usually just say no because I can’t afford it. Tonight though I was in a social mood and said yes, but just ordered a water and no food. A few of them looked at me weird and one asked if I was going to eat, so I told them I had already eaten earlier. I’m pretty introverted and a little awkward so I really don’t like the attention on me, are there any better ways to play it off?
