The avocados that I would buy in bulk always went bad before I was able to use them. It sucks because they’re 2-3x more expensive to buy in quantities that I will use and not waste.
But I got an idea that was based on CD laddering. CD laddering is when you invest in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 year CDs and every year you invest your CD that matured into a 5 year CD for better rates.
You can do this with avocados too. The method: buy unripe packages of avocados and put them in the fridge. They seem to last forever. If you eat avocados once a day, take one out every day and store it at room temperature for it to ripen for 3 days or so. You would have to wait 3 days at the beginning, but you will have a ripening avocado ladder and enjoy ripe avocados daily.
