Hi. I am a single mom and I live in America. I just got my kids social security number (they were born abroad). I only have one income and it’s not much, so I am applying for SNAP benefits (food stamps). I realize SNAP may be affected by the shutdown but I’m applying anyways. Is there anything else I can apply to that will help my financial situation? For reference my kid is 8 and we live in NY state. Thanks!
