Struggling to find the right BIFL fit for me, and I thought this sub might have some insights. I've already done a little bit of research.

Doc Martens 1460s: with the research I've seen, they're mostly made in Vietnam now and their quality has lowered a great deal since the 90s.

Wolverines 1,000 mile: Pretty out of my price range. Also the quality has been reported to be dubious.

Steve Maddens Troopa 2.0 Combat boots: These look to be pretty good (https://www.amazon.com/Steve-Madden-Womens-Troopa-Lace-Up/dp/B003WUSUT8), but I'm not sure how quality the thread is, if it would be due to thread rot.

Thursday Boot Co. Captain/President boots: These are extremely highly reviewed, hard to say if the reviews are paid for. I was wondering about this sub's experience with them?

Pozu Liv Boots: Pricey, and I'm not sure about quality. But they are ethically made, which I like.

I was wondering what this sub might have to say. Am I better off trying to thrift a more expensive boot? Is there a cheaper option that's way better?
