In the last few years I have been gifted several pairs of Darn Tough, Wigwam, and Smart Wool socks. And none of them ever last. I've been getting Darn Tough to replace them at a rate of 5/year but this is just ridiculous. I feel like I am buying socks all the time, and I don't even wear them May-September. To me getting a company to replace their product yearly isn't BIFL.
Are there any more durable, everyday wear socks? To be clear, the socks are actually getting wear holes in them, usually in the ball of the foot but sometimes the side or heel. I never wear a pair more than once a week so these socks are lasting about 32 wears before getting significant holes (based on them needing to be replaced yearly and not being worn in the summer).
Edit: For the record I don't do anything crazy during the day that would cause excessive wear. Drive a bit, go for a short walk, do stuff around the house, etc.
