When they are at a store, a lot of people make impulsive decisions based on sale signs and supposed markdowns. However, every single store seems to have a sale at any given moment. My wife falls into this trap occasionally, but i always tell her unless she has watched the price of a specific item over a few weeks, it's hard to know if it's actually a good deal or not. Additionally, most of the items she looks at we never needed in the first place.
