Question is in the last paragraph.

So my mom has my grandma's Victrola. See photos for original purchase price (Grandma keeps literally EVERYTHING, I attribute it to the fact that she was a child of the Great Depression/has a touch of anxiety), what I believe to be the model number, and a photo of the overall machine.

Anywho. Long story really short: my grandma has dementia. She promised this to my mom the day she bought the thing, but gave it to my uncle for his birthday. Grandma realized that she made a whoopsy doodle and made my uncle give it to his sister. So it's been in a spare bedroom in my mom's house for like the passed month.

I was gonna put the arm back on it and listen to the beautiful sounds of this wonderful invention (we have a BOX of records to go along with it). What did I do? I took the teeny tiny screw out to reattach the arm and clink tink ping it fell down the arm "hole" pipe. I guess my uncle took it off for transport purposes. tries not to curse him.

My question is: how do I get it out? I've tried using my dad's nifty "I dropped a bolt in the engine compartment of the stupid car" expandable magnet, but it's like the arm "hole" twists so the expandable part gets pushed back down.... Which accomplishes nothing except me telling my mom I can't get it out, to which she responds, you better! The machine is completely intact. So it's covered on all four sides by wood. Not helpful when I need to see if the pipe hole turns.

Please help. Before I get disowned by my mother.
