Hi /r/diy,I'm in the process of painting my kitchen cabinets white, and I think I made some mistakes... and I'm trying to figure out how to salvage the situation.I thought I took all the necessary steps:-took off all doors-cleaned everything well-sanded doors-primed with sticky gripper primer-painting with foam roller and decent quality latex paintThe problem is that the paint finish is far from smooth now that it's dry. I realize now I should have thinned the paint or used an oil based paint. But hindsight is 20/20.I'm trying to figure out how to fix this as easily as possible. Can I just lightly sand the painted cabinets and put another coat of paint that has been thinned with a paint conditioner? Will that "fill in" the uneven surface to smooth it out? I am thinking that could work, but I could use some reassurance at this point. Thanks in advance! via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2RdQLzL
