Wife really wanted a sink in the basement and the handyman we hired said the only (or best) place to put a drain was into the sump pit. I know this will simply dump the 'gray water' to the back edge of our property (50 feet away through submerged 4" PVC), no real risk of encroaching on anyone elses land. To me though, this seems like a really bad idea to dump into the sump pit. Is this normal? via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2TqNpWF
