Deleted Grubhub a month ago. Here are my thoughts. The app was too expensive since you have to pay a minimum, delivery fee, and tip for a single meal. Also, I find that food delivery makes me feel guilty. I don't know if anyone else has this feeling. But, the feeling of just having unhealthy food delivered to your door makes me feel crappy inside. No effort or anything involved in it. Cooking is much more fulfilling.

How's this fit into simple living? Well, for starters, it will clear up space on your phone. It'll also clear up space in your wallet if you're a dumbass like me who spent like $400 on the app within 3 and a half months. The feeling of guilt won't be there if you choose to cook. I feel fulfilled even if I cook a meal that's unhealthy since I put in effort and better my cooking skills. Also, simpleliving to me means being able to go out more and live a life without being tied down to expectations. By just deleting this stupid app, I go out to actual restaurants and sit down. One of these times, I expect to meet someone new. Meeting new people helps make my life more fulfilling. So you see, the simple act of deleting this app has led me to going out more which will increase my chances of meeting new people.

So to anyone who has Grubhub, delete it or manage how much you use it. It's an app that's convenient as hell and good for discovering new places. But, it's also something that when used excessively will burn your wallet and make you feel guilty.

Edit: It wasn't 6 months. It was 3 and a half months.
