I going to be laying down engineered hardwood flooring (glue down method) and I have a small area in my home that was an addition and has a plywood subfloor (the rest of the house is concrete) The previous floor was laminate plank and there were sings of moisture intrusion at the gap between the slab and the plywood subfloor. It looks like they used some sort of concrete or mortar material to bridge the gap and they did a poor job of it.It's hard to see in the pics, but the left side of the gap, which is about 1.5" wide, has the old sliding door track at the bottom and the plywood subfloor is resting on the outer edge of it. (2nd pic is a close up) So whatever I use to full the gap needs to be able to adhere to metal and concrete. Also, I'm guessing they took out a column of cinderblock on the right where the plywood is notched, and did an interesting job trying to cover it up - it' gets to be around 3-4" deep on that side.I would rather not use a t-molding transition piece here when I lay down the hardwood and I'm wondering what the best way to fill this gap is so that the transition between the concrete slab and plywood subfloor will be flat flat enough.I'm in Central Florida if that matters.http://bit.ly/2FqWHzd via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2AOzdzQ
