Hello, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had any experience in creating their own automated investing algo? I'm looking to mimic a Benjamin Grahams type investing strategy.
I'm not after huge returns perhaps just matching and beating the market average by a couple of percents, take the slow road. I aim to achieve this by regularly investing a proportion of my monthly earnings by putting it into an automated investing platform/API/brokerage coded preferably with Python.
I've looked into Quantopian which looks good but I don't think they do live trading anymore and barely any other brokerages in the UK offer the same functionality.
I wish I had a lot of time to sink into investing and picking out stocks etc... but it takes a lot of time. I'm currently an analyst with decent python & SQL skills. I want to learn how to program better but perhaps do so to something useful like investing in stock and shares and see if something comes out the other end of it.
Any ideas?
