I'm building a tree house that is functionally a raised deck, with twelve by sixteen foot dimensions. I used untreated wood and am looking to weatherproof it to prevent any dry rot. I'm in Southern California so it's not like weather gets too horrible, but I'd like to prevent a headache ten years from now.I've looked at Tim-Bor and stains, but I'm not sure what to use. I used concrete forms so no wood is in ground contact and everything has been designed to be modular and replaceable. The structure is free standing so there are not many places for water to collect (with what little rain we get), but I know a simple deck sealant would only be good for the decking portion.I'd like to deal it in stages and I've finished the support beams, joists space at twelve inches and screwed down the decking. Anyone have any suggestions? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Pc2adi
