This is taken from my new article (I'll link it + a video below), in which I talk about things we gotta avoid this holiday season. One of those things is the gift giving, which in my honest opinion, isn't really about making someone happy anymore. It's really became an obsession. I am not necessarily suggesting we shouldn't give gifts but what I am saying is that it's not working out for us right now. The long shopping process and the time we waste not just searching for a gift, browsing through vouchers, buying, returning, buying again, packing etc... It's also the time we spend working for that money, only to spend it on a (hopefully not but, let's face it) meaningless gift.
Sure, getting a cool gadget is exciting but we all know this excitement fades away so quickly. Yet we still follow society's order and year after year we shop excessively.
