My partner and I are trying to plan forward, we’re looking at life insurance and critical illness insurance. We reside in Ontario and plan on staying here for the foreseeable future. He previous sought quotes for critical illness insurance, problem being he was diagnosed with testicular and colon cancer 9 years ago and successfully treated. Despite being cancer free for 9 years, he was told he will never qualify for critical illness insurance. He is also told that life insurance itself is almost completely out of the question. Does this make sense? Are there any other options?
