How would I record a record-able greeting card with a 3.5mm jack?

I have this module for a card for my girlfriend, and instead of recording with a mic, I'd like to take the output of my PC. I have a soldering iron, some wires, and a spare aux cord. The microphone is an electret (I think) microphone with two leads. Can I wire these to mono and ground of the aux? via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2BwoDNJ
