Hi everyone - I just moved out of my old apartment and as I was removing my posters and diploma and such from the wall, the double sided tape took off some pieces of the wall that were about 1.5inches wide and half an inch high.My landlord told me he could get it professionally done but it would be at minimum $600 (only my bedroom which was 9’x11’) or I could do it myself. He told me the color of the paint currently so I know that much.I’ve never done any kind of work like this and am full of questions. 1) would the first step to be to spackle anywhere the tape did damage, wait for it to dry, and sand it down. 2) would it be possible to paint the spackle day areas individually or am I going to have to paint over all of the walls in the room? 3) if the entire room needs to be repainted, is 1 gallon enough for the size of the room? What’s the best way to go about this and what tools do I need for the job? Sorry - like I said I’ve never done anything like this and would appreciate any advice via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2BzCwuk
