Hi, first things first: I go through a lot of earbuds, and every now and then I do something stupid like getting the cable caught on something and then walking away. Obviously, this puts strain on the cable, and it usually ends with one or both channels cutting out.I'd usually solder it back together, but I've noticed that the piece of cord that I've soldered ends up much weaker, and no matter how I solder it, it seems like soldering to wires as thin as headphone wires just causes another point of failure, with the wire breaking right before the new joint. I've tried using paracord around the wire and some hot glue (small amount to keep wires in place) to make a DIY strain relief, which works a bit, but this area of the cord is still weaker than the rest of the cord. So, I've come to you guys with a question: Is there any way to keep my earbuds from breaking near my previous solder joints? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2C7cIav
