I am trying to replace the faucet on my bathtub. The diverter on the old one was shot and I thought it would be an easy fix. I take the old one off, get an identical model at Lowe’s, and try and put the new one on. Can’t screw it on all the way - looks to me like the threading is shot on the end piece. Can anyone advise on what to do next?
