My impression is that this kind of smoke alarm is not the sort I'd want if I wanted notification if I've burnt my toast (or the toaster timer is broken and has not spit out my slice of bread).Before I lean towards photoionization smoke detectors as something to consider next time I do a purchase....I'm keen to hear from you guys on how having a photoelectric one has been helpful to you.Note: After a response from /u/nscherneck, I looked up California's building code (just because majority of Redditors posting in this community are based in the US) and there is a mention that it could be either type.Edits: Flow & Added Note via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2RckvMq
