Someone posted about dollar store toothpaste a couple days ago. I happened to stop in a national chain of dollar store over the weekend and it reminded me of the post.
Anyways, the toothpaste is one dollar and it appears to be the same as the one I buy. (I did not check if it is great market goods.). The container is 2.5 oz for $1. The toothpaste I typically get is $5 for 3x8oz, though it used to be 8.2oz. Sometimes it even goes on special for $4.
Heck, I was running low and I went to the store and found my normal toothpaste on special for $4.29 for 3x8oz.
