Couldnt think of a better sub to ask this in.I plan to black out specific portions of my car's taillight reflector lenses to make my old square lights look like circular ones instead. But if I black out the reflector lens with normal black paint, I will lose a lot of reflectivity, and I don't want to get pulled over for it or have someone rear end me because of it.So, any recommendations? I did a little searching, but couldnt find anything with good reviews or sufficient reflectivity. Also for those who may comment about the legality of this, I'm not tinting the tail lights. I'm only masking off part of the lens that makes the lights red, which is between the light itself and the outer light cover. The light will still be bright red with no tinting or visibility loss, im just masking it to make it a custom shape. The loss of reflectivity is what would make it illegal, so thats what im trying to get around. The light itself will still be visible just fine, but a reason why the reflectivity is required is say, if I was parked and my lights were off. If my reflectivity is gone, people will have a harder time seeing my car. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2PuQC56
