Hi, everyone,The copper water pipes in my basement coming into my house and then going throughout the house are sweating. These are the only pipes that are exposed and that I can see. I can only hope that others are not sweating in the drywall. I noticed this about three weeks ago. I installed some foam insulation on the pipes. This has helped the dripping of water from the pipes onto the floor, but when I pry open the foam, they are still sweating.Today, I noticed that two toilets upstairs also now have condensation on the tanks.A few details about my situation: My house was built in the mid 1990s. I live in St. Louis Metro (USA) and its been mostly seasonal temperatures and the last few days its been unseasonably warm (highs in the 60s). I have lived in this house about 9 years and have never had this issue before.I don't know what to do at this point, but I am becoming very concerned. Most of my research mentions the humidity from summer days, but it is certainly not summer where I live now and when I noticed the pipes sweating the first time it was temps in the 20s-40s. I keep my house around 68 degrees with the furnace on and 75 with the AC on. The AC has not been on during any of this.Thank you for any help. I have attached two photos. One is a sweating pipe, the other is where the water line enters my house.https://ift.tt/37a5Jua via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2tezI5C
