Hi, I just got my salary of $914 for the past month, and I'm very disappointed as i worked for 31 days switching shifts every 4 days, coming in an hour early and leaving an hour late every single day. Not a single day off in 5 months now, save for the day i fucked my eye really bad and couldn't see, and that day was deducted from my vacation, still came in the next day even tho i had about 25% vision... I work as a process automation engineer in a sugar plant, there's only 3 of us so we're working our asses off, running back and forth from unbearably hot places to cold places, climbing pipes etc. Basically risking my life a minimum of 5 times a day to get the job done. I'm working here for 2 years now and i got promoted 3 months ago, jumped 2 places actually, so that tells me they're satisfied with my performance. I just got my paycheck of $914, which is basically an insult and one huge fuck you straight into my face. That covers my monthly expenses, I don't have any debts but I can't afford anything else but to pay my bills, gas and food, and my health insurance. Im considering moving to another country and get any job that would pay at least double than this, working only one shift and have weekends off. I put it down on paper and i concluded that I'd earn at least 50% more after expenses than i do now. I just need that least bit of push to do it and tell my boss to go fuck himself and basically risk him his job as there's no qualified people to fill in my role anywhere on sight, which in practice would mean multi million damages in downtime for the company.
I guess this is more of a rant than anything, but please tell me what should i do. I feel worthless even tho i know I'm doing an excellent job...
