I have to patch a damaged bit of my ceiling, the space is about 3' x 18". Because of the shape of the space, three of the four sides will be touching a wall, only one long 3' side will be touching the rest of the ceiling. The replacement piece I have can either go in with the factory tapered edge or a butt edge touching the butt edge of the existing ceiling drywall. When I go to patch it with joint compound am I going to get a better result with the two butt edges, or one butt edge and one tapered edge? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Dsdd0O
