TL;DR: What should I use for patching a 6 by 6 inch square hole in a cement ceiling? Is something like hydraulic water stop enough or should I mix some cement? Any tips or things or watch out for when cementing the ceiling?Long version: Part of our basement stretches out under our driveway as a bit of a storage space, about 3 feet high and 5 or so feet deep. A while back when we repaved our driveway they discovered a roughly 6x6 inch square hole in it which lead to the basement area. Not sure what else to do, they put down a steel plate and paved over it. It was pretty much fine for a while. Some water would come in and flood back there but it was out of the way. It's been getting worse with recent storms and flooding out into the rest of the basement.I want to see if I can patch that hole from basement and make it water tight. I've got no experience with cement but I'm trying to read up on it and see I can patch the hole myself. It's a pretty small hole and I was wondering if anyone had any advice for patching it up? It's bigger than what I would think sealant should be used for, but mixing cement seems like overkill.I'd appreciate any recommendations people have.
