I want to rip the LCD and controller out of my Asus VS228H-P, but leave the backlight separated (so I should only have the glass panel). Does anyone know if a raspberry pi 3 model b will be enough to power the LCD by itself, without the backlight? Would it also be possible to power an led strip to light up a piece of clear acrylic to act as a new backlight at the same time, also front the raspberry pi? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2E0vAKE
