I'm a cabinetmaker by trade, and I'm needing some help with wiring a lamp I'm building. I have a basic understanding of electrical wiring, which would be fine if I was just wiring a lamp with a switch. But I'm an overachiever, and I wanted to have a lamp with a USB plug built in, because space saving. I learned though that built in USB ports are hard, so I decided on integrating a duplex outlet with built in USB ports.I've found diagrams to run a duplex outlet with a built in switch to a light source, and I've found diagrams of how to wire it with a switch to interrupt the outlet, kinda like that one outlet in your livingroom for a lamp. None of that'll work for what I want to do.So I drew up a wiring diagram that to allow the outlet duplex have power uninterrupted while the light would have a switch to interrupt the power, but I'm not sure if I did it right, and I'd like some input.Help?Edit: that should say in the diagram "Power" not "Power Supply". I'm planning on running it straight to the outlet. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2yTUdEj
