My husband and I did something fun and frugal for our wedding anniversary that I thought I'd share. I commented about it in another sub and everyone thought it was a great idea, so here goes.
The concept is simple, but for our 10th anniversary, we drove back to our hometown (it's only about an hour away) and went to a bunch of places where we had memories. We took a picture outside of our old friend's house where we met (sorry to the current tenants for being weird on the sidewalk in front of your house), ate dinner at the cheap Chinese place where we had our first date, walked on the beach where we got married (it's a dog beach now lol no ragrets), and stopped to take a picture outside of our first apartment. We brought up memories we hadn't thought about in a really long time, so it was actually really cute and romantic, though silly.
It was so much fun and I think it cost about $25. Minus dinner, you could do it for the price of gas as long as you live within reasonable driving distance!
Any other frugal date ideas to share?
