I purchased a four story brick home and I gutted it down to the studs.The new roof is almost done and I am getting ready to have lighting installed and I want to use recessed lighting everywhere. Ceiling height is 8 feet. I also want to use sealed lights so that rockwool insulation can sit over the lights and so that nothing can enter the apartments. I was told that small square LED lights are nice but I really do not fully understand the pros and cons of each technology and style. For instance, do smaller lights mean I will need more of them? I saw videos on Halo lighting but I am still unsure of which diameter and the spacing. Maybe I have not found an easy enough to understand wizard. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
