So as the title says I cosigned a Sallie mae loan for my ex back in 2015. We split about six months after. Now every few months I get calls and emails saying the loan is late and has not been paid on since the last time I paid it. Every time I get in touch with her she says it wont happen again it's just slipped her mind and shes sorryx but it keeps happening. She is now married and will have no contact with me what so ever. I'm just worried this will affect my ability to buy a house soon with my fiance and it would be nice to not have to drop five or six hundred dollars every few month on a loan I never saw a dime from. Is there anything I can do to mitigate this?
