SO and I are saving for a house and ideally need another $10,000 in about a 6 month time frame. As we sit now, without changing much/anything, we are able to put away $1,200/month. How can we boost that by another $500 or so?

The main thing we will be able to cut down on are groceries, so any help with frugal recipes or shopping tips would be great.

A big problem of ours is "fuck it, let's get takeout". Any help beating this bad habit would be amazing.

Our biggest expenses other than feeding ourselves goes to feeding our pets. We buy premium food even though it may be a little bit of a rip off. If you asked me last year I would have said everything was the same but the difference a few extra $$ has made to my pets is mind blowing. Is there a way to reduce that food cost without sacrificing the benefits?

Any other tips on any topic relating t frugality would be awesome. The housing market in Australia is ridiculous at the moment and Millennials have been dubbed generation rent forever. Help me not be?
