For instance, I bought a relatively cheap costume for Halloween this year because I was pressed for time, as well as some cheap makeup for the costume I am unlikely to use again. I would feel wasteful if I were to throw these things out because I "could" use them again (they're in good condition), and I don't want to feel like I'm throwing away my money.
The most ideal solution, I know, is to not buy items you are unlikely to use multiple times and instead make do with more sustainable options. However, I'm sure we have all been in a situation where we have brought these types of objects into our lives.
