https://ift.tt/2PUY6CK front porch is made of concrete and has several layers of old paint covering it. I've scraped off all of the loose paint with a putty knife. Additionally I filled a crack above the bottom two steps with a concrete patch, but due to sagging or a bad job by me or both, a new hairline crack has formed. What is the best way to get a smooth surface so I can repaint? After some research I think my current plan is to 1) apply a paint stripper and get off as much remaining paint as possible, 2) etch surface with some sort of acid, 3) paint. I'm worried that new paint will settle into any remaining cratered areas so I'll need to fill them first. Should I, and how? Lastly how should I smooth the rough concrete patch I had applied?(yes, the railings are in awful shape and I'm going to replace them)Some products I've considered:https://youtu.be/dJKgfxOXHmYhttps://youtu.be/v0uTtLXXmwAhttps://youtu.be/WQaq4BbWz6A (grinder wheel) via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2zNt99u
