I'm a 23 year old senior at a large state-school who is graduating this spring with a Bachelor's in Consumer and Family Financial Services. My long term goal is to own my own comprehensive financial planning firm. I've work in sales and this spring will likely be taking an internship with Northwestern Mutual. A class on investments that I was looking forward to taking was completely booked up in the first couple days of enrollment and unfortunately I wasn't able to get in, so I'm looking for a good book on investing to read through in the meantime. I've read most of the The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham, but to be honest I found it very dry and a little difficult to get through and have yet to finish. Are there any go-to's you'd recommend to a young college student about to embark on a career in financial services? I have a decent grasp on basic investing concepts but want to teach myself more so that I am a subject matter expert. I'm looking for a book ideally on investing concepts, such as stock valuation, annuities, mutual funds, utilizing trusts, etc.
Thank you for your time!
