I have a list of about a dozen stocks (CGNX, ILMN, BAM, LMT, IDXX, BR, STZ, ISRG, AOS, TCEHY, V, NVDA, MELI).
I have been thinking of adding VOO aswell for stability and perhaps going 50/50 (stocks to VOO).
I think this would make my portfolio antifragile, but about half of the stocks in my list are already in the SP500. And when you look at VOO, about 20% is allocated to the top 10 stocks in the fund.
That said, is it really benefitial adding VOO to our portfolios?
Why not just add a couple of the bigger names, like AMZN, or MSFT (which have a larger % allocation in the fund anyway)?
VOO is more than 10% AAPL, MSFT, and AMZN actually!
I mean, there is alot in VOO I wouldn't wanna buy!
Thoughts?
