i heard that fidelity pays you a portion of how much they make from people who short stock. would it be a good idea to buy heavily shorted stock like tsla and amzn which will go up long term but are heavily shorted. how much can you make doing this? anyone have experience? any risks or other things i should be aware of?

realistically, i can toss my entire portfolio into it, anything im long term bullish on, i can stick in there for extra income, right?
