My girlfriend and I very recently moved into a rented property together. Last Sunday, after a week, she ended it and moved back to her parents' and now wants to cancel the lease. The current rent is £833 per month and with bills on top it comes to about £1100. This was fine for both of us but I can't afford it by myself and even if I could, I don't have a guarantor available which is required for sole occupancy.
My dad has recently moved in to my grandmothers to look after her and so sold our house as my brother and I moved out so I can't go home like she has. My mum lives several hundred miles away so that isn't an option either.
This leaves me in a bit of a situation as all my money went into the property and as we've broken contract we won't get any money back. I don't earn a lot and have debt I'm close to paying off but at the moment it's a struggle.
All my friends are pretty much still at home as they're my age so they don't have spare rooms to let. I've been looking at spare rooms but that doesn't solve where to put all my stuff. I'm just lost as what to do with myself as I have no money and no where to go. Sob story I know.
Right now I'm in a rut, not really sure what to do with myself. So any advice from those who have been in a similar position and what they did to get through it would be great.
And I have no talents, so using my sob story to win Britain's Got Talent won't work either, sadly!
