Looking to build version 1 of my sit/stand/laying desk. There will only be legs supporting the desk on the left side since the wheels of the desk need to be able to slide under a bed. Here's a rough outline (not used to this drawing tablet, so my apologies for the poor quality).I'll be using aluminum rail flanges mounted to the underside of the desktop. The flanges will slide up and down these posts to make the desktop height adjustable. Either I'll use the screws on the flange itself to clamp onto the posts and hold the height position, or a clamp placed below the flanges. The posts/flanges will be mounted onto 16 gauge sheet metal to give rigidity to the desktop and hopefully alleviate wobble.I'm wondering what screw types or bolts to use, or perhaps if I should get rid of the sheet metal and just use wood glue? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Rldjdz
