I spent the last 11 years making every payment on time even if it meant no money for food to fix the debt I was born into.
Well now it's happening again... my mother in law was in a total loss accident... her insurance company paid out but the gap she was left with was 11k and her gap provider wont pay because she was driving for uber and needed a commercial gap plan which the dealership did not provide her even though that is the whole reason I had to cosign.... they knew she drove for uber.
Only thing is the dealership did some shady things, including not mentioning the uber income, they used her old job she retired from to get us approved so I am thinking I was just lied to from everybody..
She hasnt made a payment since may and I absolutely refuse to let my credit go after the 11 years of work I put into it to fix it so I have been making the payments. I am burning through savings and am struggling and she could care less.
Any advice? This is the worst decision I have ever made...
