I tried glue gun, super glue. but this doesn't stick well enough.Microsoft surface Modern mouse. not "Arc", not "Precision".I detached the grey cover, then unscrewed the black case. I see a mouse wheel and to the right of it, a tall wide square. inside is a hexagonal hole. not going through, just into the square. when removing the loose scroll wheel, I put a scissor spread into the hole, suspending/creating tension into the hexagonal hole. I can turn the scissor, and on my pc I see the mouse scrollin.g I also hear and feel the feedback clicks/ticks.the button below the wheel still works. I can still press down and navigate with that hovercraft cursor. I hate it. also, I strongly suspect this clicking down has helped make the black tube (protruding from the scrool wheel into the hegagonal hole) break off.for some reasonthe black tube is not hexagonal but round. this means there is no suspense, and that the tube was melted into the back wall ofthe hexagonal hole.all of this is hard smooth plastic. except the outer side of the scoll wheel.I tried slicing the tube into angles, and somewhat cautiously using a gluegun to fill out the preexisting space between the tube and the hexagonal shape. it dind't work. glue gun isn't stiff enough. since I sliced the tube a bit, it is now smaller, and has a bit less surface area at the end to connect to the black back wall.does my explanation make sense?how do I fix this?I like this mouse. cheap so won't get stolen, light, no cords, fits the design, nice scroll wheel. even if I buy a new one, it will likely break again. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2R419FE
