I have been away from home for work, and as a result I have had more expenses than normal. My company pays per diem but post facto so I use personal CC's when I'm away (free points!) . Well, I try to keep my CC charges under what is in my checking account and that is difficult at the moment because I'm away for so long and it was impossible when my husband called to let me know that my car repair would be $2500! Luckily, I've been aggressive in my e fund building and have more than that at the moment. If I didn't have that e fund idk what I would do. We are looking to buy a home soon and are self funding our wedding. That cost would have delayed the home and we would have taken on a little debt. So glad I have that e fund.
