Life Pro Tip Common sense: Keep your tires at their recommended PSI. When the temperature drops, so does the air pressure in your tires (mine dropped 5+ PSI when the season changed). Your tires will last longer, your car will be safer and your gas mileage will be marginally better.
Tips:
- Buy a tire pressure gauge for $1-15 and a portable air compressor for $35. You can get air for free some places, but I prefer to check and inflate on my own schedule.
- Check the pressure when your tires are cold.
- The correct tire pressure is marked on a sticker on the inside of your driver's side rocker panel. NOT on the tire itself. Check your manual if you can't find it.
- Do your spare tire a couple times a year too.
That's it. Feel good about yourself.
